Warn and loved

I always believed in wearing out your own denims instead of buying them ready washed incl. patches etc. But I appreciate that some people do not want to wait that long. I can't remember how long I've had these shorts but first time I had them in my KEIR collection was Spring Summer 2007. So 7 years of wear and now they are perfect :-)

Mending and warn out look.

Now that mending, light washes and ripped jeans are getting another run in the fashion cycle why not revisit the jeans you might want to throw out? When I started collecting my friends unwanted jeans for my re-Cut, re-Work and re-New project someone gave me these really cool jeans from GAP. I like the way the mending has been done very hand crafted on a single stitch machine. I did the mending with the zig zag. Some part of these jeans are currently being remade into a jacket. Not quite sure what I'll do with the waist part yet.
